Review

Naztech N20-11914 is a portable speaker / dock that allows you to play music for up to 15 hours anywhere with that foldable and portable design as well as that curvy shape.

Naztech N20-11914

Naztech has created this device as the smaller version from their N40 model that has twice as much power but almost everything else is the same as they both have the same controls, battery power and the same speakers except this lacks two of them. But nonetheless I feel that I need to review this model because this is more compact, has twice the battery life and overall is a much better value for your money.

Design

The design for this little thing is a curved foldable box like shape that has the dimensions of 7.5 inches x 1.5 inches x 2.7 inches (19.05 cm x 3.8 cm x 6.8 cm) and it weighs only 10.4 ounces (294 grams) so it is really lightweight and amazingly portable. If you look at this device from the sides you will see a curved box shaped design that is in a white color but at the front it has the company’s branding logo. When you unfold it both those speakers will be on both sides of the Smartphone cradle providing you with a stereoscopic sound that will fill up your room or office but can also work great in an outdoor environment. Those speakers are fixed in place with 4 screws each so they will be versatile but the company has not bothered to cover or style those screw holes and they feel somewhat cheap.

Naztech N20-11914 dock

The overall body is made out from plastic and it feels like those cheap thin plastic’s that you got in those old Chinese toy cars and that is not that great but for that price it will be good enough.

Functionality

Naztech N20-11914 speaker dockAs the functionality goes this device is not that complex as it only has two speakers that each give off about 1 W of power so the total sound power output is around 2W and that is not that great but from such a small form-factor it will be good enough. Those two speakers are powered by a 6 V DC power adapter or by 4 AA batteries that are not included. But the fact that it has 4 AA batteries means you can put rechargeable ones in there and get around 15 hours of continuous playback time that can be extended to almost 20 hours if you turn the volume down. At the middle there is that Smartphone cradle that is designed for most smart phones and will fit almost all the newest models that include all Android handsets and that is why this can be called and android docking station. Then there is that 3.5mm AUX jack that comes out from the back and that means you can play almost any device as today all new smart phones, mp3 players and computers come with this AUX connection socket. And the last part are those controls at the top that can control the sound and can simply turn on or off your device but there is also an indicator light for when the batteries are getting low and that also indicates when the device is on.

Conclusion

Overall this smaller version of Naztech speaker dock is a great little device to have if you like listening to music outside or just want a small docking station where you can sit your phone at home and listen to music. Of course the sound quality is not that great but you should expect that from those small speakers. Overall this can be a bargain as the price is so low that you could buy batteries that are more expensive than this.
