Talk Dock is an ingenious device that allows you to turn your Smartphone into a retro telephone set with the capabilities to talk trough that telephone handset. Basically this is an Android docking station but it is in a whole different class with that great design and clever functionality but that retro look and matted finish will allow your kids to see how telephones was a couple of decades ago.
The whole telephone fixture is about 6 inches x 7 inches (15.24 cm x 17.78 cm) in size and that may sound like a huge device but keep in mind that it is modeled after a retro wired telephone so it has to be in that size. The fixture is made from a plastic polymer and is lightweight but also has a matted finish that will allow your Smartphone to stand out as well as give even more style to this device.
The simple functionality is this – you take your phone put it in that slot at the front and plug in either a 3.5mm audio jack or an iPhone adapter and make calls with that wired handset that plugs in either the left or right side of this telephone-device. You will be amazed how cool it looks on your work desk in the office or any other place and that amazing shape of that handset fits perfectly between your ear and shoulder so you will be able to multitask while talking on your Smartphone.
When you see those old movies where someone takes up that telephone wired handset and then after a heated conversation slams it in place do you just don’t want to be able to do that? This gadget will allow you to do that but still use modern technologies in your Smartphone. The device is also manufactured in a way that you will be able to plug in your charger cable at the bottom of your Android Smartphone so you will be able to talk trough it but still charge it for later on-the-go usage.
This Talk-Dock will support your Android Smartphone in an upright position in a very ergonomic style to use it when you need to dial a phone number or do some other stuff on your phone. You can also put up a screen server with telephone buttons or that circular thing that old handsets had and that will even more let you feel retro and cool.
I really like this dock as it is something new but I must admit that I was disappointed by the sound quality of this device as it is noticeably worst than my Samsung Galaxy S3 phones speaker and the outgoing sound is even worst and my callers can’t sometimes understand me and ask me to repeat that. If it were not for these faults this device would be perfect as it is a really great idea but the implementation lacks a little.
